In their later life, Jean joined Kingfisher Nursing Home as a resident, and her husband Keith would visit her twice a week, gifting his wife with flowers and other treats. Keith, having a sweet tooth, asked Jean for almonds and over time, they took a liking to one another and continued their sweet exchanges until the day Keith asked Jean out on a date. The story of Keith and Jean began over 70 years ago in Maynard’s sweet factory, London, where Keith met Jean while at work. Our ‘ Make a Wish‘ initiative was designed to give residents the opportunity to have their unique wishes granted, whatever they may be, creating an exceptional and bespoke experience for them to remember.
